Sutton Steele, a native of San Angelo, Texas, has had a passion for home building for as long as he can remember. As a kid, he often told his parents, “I just want to build.” That passion led him to earn a degree in Management from Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business. After graduating, Sutton felt a strong pull to return to his roots and give back to the community that shaped him.
He founded Steele Custom Homes with a clear goal — to design and build homes that reflect the people who live in them. His work blends contemporary trends with timeless touches, creating spaces that are both stylish and lasting. What truly sets Sutton apart is his dedication to building strong relationships with his clients. He believes great design starts with great communication, and he’s hands-on throughout the entire building process, ensuring every detail reflects his client’s vision.
When he’s not on the job site, Sutton enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Natalie, who is in dental school, and their Labrador, Stella. They love exploring the scenic landscapes of West Texas together.
Sutton is also deeply involved in his community. He’s an active member of Johnson Street Church of Christ and the San Angelo Home Builders Association.
For Sutton, home building isn’t just a career — it’s a way to honor his roots, form meaningful connections, and create homes that leave a lasting impact on the place he’s proud to call home.
